Stoke Green Day Nursery is an Ofsted registered nursery situated in a conservation area near Coventry City Centre.
We ensure that each child receives the love and encouragement they need to develop their learning skills from a young age.
ABOUT STOKE GREEN DAY NURSERY
We have a beautiful home like setting, delivering a high standard of quality care for each child within our setting. At Stoke Green we pride ourselves on empowering our community, families, staff and children. Our ethos is a combination of educational elements, such as the early years foundation stage, we utilize a number of different theorists such as Emilio Reggio, Steiner and Te Whariki. We also use elements of the curiosity approach, which aims to give children back their freedom by igniting their natural curiosity and imagination. When adopting this teaching method, children are able to think for themselves, make their own choices, and direct their own learning.
We provide an enriching environment for children to learn and explore, this is an ideal way to develop their development and interests.
We are a fully diverse Nursery with multiple cultures and ethnicities. The children's interests are followed at best with adult led activities to enhance the children's learning and development, we ensure that those all-important teachable moments are captured, and provision is planned around each child's needs. Parents are always welcome to the setting, and we encourage active involvement with parents within their child's learning, we encourage a active professional parent and partnership between the staff members and parents & carers.
We are open all year round from Monday to Friday 8.00 - 18.00, we offer a variety of sessions such as:
Morning session from 08:00 to 13:00 and afternoon sessions from 13:00 to 18:00. We are closed for 1 week at Christmas and New year and all bank Holidays, these are still chargeable. Sickness, absence and holidays are chargeable. We accept childcare vouchers 10% Discount for siblings (subject to availability). We also accept tax free childcare vouchers; we offer two different contract type - All year round or term time places (50% retainer fee charged for term time placements). In order to secure a placement with us, would depend on our available at the time, we would require one week’s fees and a non-refundable £45.00 registration fee and a completed child registration form. We offer 2- and 3-year funding & 30 hour funding, please see alternative funding page for more information regarding funding.
The Nursery setting has 22 members of staff who are all regularly obliged to keep up dated regarding safeguarding training, the disclosure & Barring Service are regularly checked and searched, all relevant childcare qualifications are met by the government guidance. All our meals are freshly prepared on site and home made by our experienced cook. Our menus are revised termly alongside a nutritionist and are healthy and well balanced. We cater for all dietary requirements and allergens. Our menus change with the sessions throughout the year and are regularly reviewed. Please see "Menu's page" for more information.
On site we provide a large open space for physical play and a large range of physical equipment for the children to explore. We have a bark chipping area with a climbing frame and activities available for the children to physically challenge themselves. We have sheltered home corner for role-play and creative play. We have age-appropriate outdoor areas for all age ranges - an area for babies and toddlers to have their own freedom and space to play. We have a buddy system in place as to where we encourage the children to ensure that everyone has a friend and to build positive relationships with one another.
